The advancement of the modern intellectual class is achieved by a false metaphysic, the elevation of facts over their energetic source, the soul. The disembodiment of knowledge, which is what is achieved by the mimicry of the intellect by unseen forces, presents the illusion of knowledge by leveraging the created world. The human flesh in its current coarse and weakened state, provides the point of entry for this psychological attack, the fear of death and shame of sin. “Facts”, which do not contain metaphysical power, are leveraged to control the soul via the rational mind, thereby subjugating her energy and fabricating a metaphysically baseless world.

“Scientific discoveries”, which maintain that knowledge is external to the soul, and not a characteristic of her presence, do not recognise that a Superior Soul transferred anything to another soul. The idol of the rational mind, which is the seat of pride, makes a claim of its superiority in the universe and becomes self-deluded. “Facts”, therefore, are the metaphysical effects of a soul making a judgement, more often a poor one, based on herself and her very limited knowledge.

Because knowledge is a characteristic and energy of a human soul, the created world does not provide this energy. Rather, knowledge is transferred from Soul to soul. Knowledge is a pre-existing energy of a Soul, providing metaphysical stability to the Cosmos. The theoretical cosmologists, therefore, are intellectuals in the fullest sense; they don’t acknowledge the soul while simultaneously mimicking her cosmological preeminence.

This spiritual and metaphysical delusion is the work of sophists, who percieve the sensation of power by affecting the soul’s abdication. The use of “facts” for this purpose is an effective tool, soliticing agreement on every page. With this slow but effective technique, the sophists psychologically subject the student with ostracization and the fear of humiliation. The irony of the University is her paper-thin philosophy, a metaphysical house of cards without a psychological foundation.

Scientific knowledge, which is just knowledgely knowledge, convinces the soul that she’s a subject rather than a pupil. The soul is not subject to the natural world, rather, the Soul is the Source of the created world by Type. This metaphysical sleight-of-hand of the sophists is contained in all areas which they have penetrated, including the so-called religion department. The artifical intelligence of the sophist class is a pseudoscientific illusion, desperately dependant on the decent and loving human soul of the freshman.

Glory be to Jesus Christ!!!

Pseudoeducation and what is falsely called knowledge

By Joshua Ben Nun

Modern education, so-called, claims to empower youth and prepare them to succeed in the world. This claim, which is based on ideology and positive thinking, immediately bypasses the natural philosophical gateway in the soul. The steady diet of information, current events, constantly looking to the world for “knowledge”, distracts the student from her consciousness, her inner self-knowledge. Modern education ignores the metaphysical substance in the classroom, therefore, it does not qualify as having a philosophical or a psychological basis.

Pedagogy, which refers to the formation of the children, τα παιδιά, by etymology, is directly connected to the Person and the specific energetic entity, η Ψυχή, the Soul. The question of who is the teacher and who is the pupil, is not a secondary question. Without this knowledge no relationship can be established, no psychological freedom can be cultivated. Without this metaphysical basis, no energetic transfer of knowledge can occur, only the feeding of data and information. Knowledge, which is a characteristic and metaphysical energy of a soul, cannot be given or received.

The mechanisation of the soul, which is accomplished by the theory and her theoretical cosmologists, is a project of western scholastic rationalism. The illusion of the intellect is projected in this way, using the imagination, concepts, ideas, which are detached from any metaphysical basis. To remove knowledge from her metaphysical basis, the soul, is to remove the Person from the room, and introduce her to the influence of foreign powers.

The pseudophilosophy of Naturalism, which is a psychological disorder, puts knowledge before the soul, as if knowledge is disembodied. Pseudoscience, especially Darwinistic theories, imagine worlds without the soul, as if it were metaphysically possible to do that. The philosophical slight-of-hand is disingenuous at worst and misinformed at best. The removal of Philosophy from schools, the introduction of the sophists and the theoretical philosophers so-called, indicate a monetization of students and their parents, parasiting off of trusting souls.

The secularists, those to advocate the separation of Church and state, push for a soulless education so-called, in order to appear as intellectuals, and create return customers. The theory, which is the bread and butter of the sophists, provides a continuous and never ending research department into paper writing. Verbiage, theories, postulating, word salads, all these do not have a psychological basis, but delude the soul to loose her identity, to subject her to foreign and hostile forces.

The old french word “religion” originates etymologically from the latin “religare” (to bind) and “religio” (obligation, bond, reverence). Today, the use of the word is often colored with negative undertones in a modern Christian milieu of the highly personalized “relationship”.  Seeking the meaning of religion in the person of Jesus Christ, we find its Root, its Origin, and its very Definition. Being fully God and fully man, the life of Christ embodies and Is the Essence of Union with God. The person of Jesus Christ both represents, and Is ontologically, True Religion.

The term “Hypostatic Union”, although an unfamiliar term in popular evangelicalism, accurately describes the intimate Union of the Divine and the human nature. The Word of God, being the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, joined Himself to mankind forever, redeeming human nature itself (Ruth 4:4) (Gal 3:14) by function of this Hypostatic Union. The essence of religion, which is the true and right bond of God and Man, is fulfilled, and is exclusive to the person of Jesus Christ, being the Only-Begotten Son and Word of God. He claims to be the Origin of religion by His words “I AM” (the Ever Existing One).

We also have two “wills” within this God-Man, one being voluntarily submitted to the Divine Will on behalf of all mankind. A “synergy” within the Person of Jesus Christ makes True Religion a possibility that the first Adam could not attain. The spiritual bond that was severed by Adam and Eve was restored by the Life of Christ, creating a “new and living Way” (Hebrews 10:20) to God, not by outward observances but by ontological Union. To accomplish this Christ had to “take on” flesh and correct it neurologically, inclining it towards holiness and preferring God over His own human will. “Lamb” and “Shepherd” refers to these two wills, thus Christ is both simultaneously.

Christ has made the human soul a True tabernacle of God, a Temple “raised in 3 days” (John 2:19). As the dwelling place of God is now with man (Revelation 21:3) in the person of Jesus Christ, we have the fulfillment of the meaning of religion. The modern “relationship” status between God and man is surpassed by an actual “Union” in Christ. The external associations and meanings of religion are overshadowed by the internalized and consummate religion of Christ.

The Holy Gospel of Matthew illumines the attentive Christian to the final moments of the Salvation of mankind. The places described therein direct the reader towards Divine Knowledge and Understanding regarding the spiritual condition of man and the root of his pride. Golgotha, or “the Place of the Skull”, is the place of dethronement for the wisdom of man, his intellectual pride. The Place of the Skull is the seat of man’s wisdom.

Ascending Golgotha, the Place of the Skull, the Logos or Word of God carried mankind in his fallen state and spiritual depravity of his carnal mind. Working Salvation for him, God Himself submitted the flesh to crucifixion. The idol of the rational intellect, that is, the trusting of one’s own rational senses, was abandoned helplessly on the Tree. The “God” of mankind, his rational pride, the ego, was cast down from the Place of the Skull.

The phrase “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?) describes the most profound of spiritual mysteries, the moment that the rational mind faced the curse of death without experiencing any sin. In extreme humility and innocence, the Anointed One entered the unknown, being abandoned by his own mind without any earthly and visible hope.

The overturning of the rule of the carnal and rational mind in man gave birth to Divine Illumination by Faith, by which all men may enter into the “mind of Christ” (1 Cor 2). The stripping of the power of death by Faith, numbing its sting (1 Cor 15:55), and empowering men to neither fear it nor obey it, is the mechanism by which Christian martyrs are made. It is this phenomenon which is the mark of true spirituality and Christian authenticity.

The abandonment of the carnal senses, the trusting in what man “knows” is the mechanism of True Faith. This True Faith is expressed consummately in Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Authentic and rightful Heir of God, the Logos of God and Christus Victor, the Righteous and Anointed One who overthrew the death’s stronghold and reversed the curse. In reality, the Wisdom of God is the Illumination of Faith, to see through the veneer of death into eternity. The casting down of human wisdom from the Place of the Skull, was in reality an eternal gamechanger, affecting mankind’s very Nature.

Many concepts in the ancient Church are presented in greek, a language of notable nuance and clarity. The “missing the mark” described as “sin” in the West is in fact derived from the greek “hamartia” (hamartanein). Hamartiology is a branch of theological study in the West, exhausted by its dominant juridical view on the subject. While the Christian East makes use of legal imagery from the scriptures, the overtone surrounding hamartia is holistic rather than legal. While the West defines sin by complex categories and inferences, the Christian East describes it as misusing the Life-giving Energies of God.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). As the faithfulness and changelessness of the Holy One is the foundation for all orthodox theology, it is easy to understand that it is the Life-giving Breath that all creation depends on everyday. Saint Paul’s one-point sermon on Mars Hill projects this tone. “…he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else” (Acts 17:25).  “For in him we live and move and have our being” (verse 28).  From this life link with the Originator of All Things Life-Giving, the Christian East derives its understanding of sin as a malignant growth. It is described as a disease which steals nutrients designed to give life and uses them to make a heavy tumorous mass.

From this posture, being “Weighed down by sins” (2 Timothy 3:6) is an accurate description of the sinner. The blessings given to him are turned into curses, such that he requires even more Divine Mercies to even sustain himself (see Romans 6:1). Being a blessing to no one, the sinner looks to acquire and store up for himself. This expresses itself in the forms of covetousness, gluttony, avarice and all forms of selfishness (see Galatians 5:19). These can be viewed as not only transgressing the commandment of God, but as missing the mark of the Divine Nature, the Blessing of the Blessed One.

Blindness could be considered stage two of this disease. Rather than food being used to nourish the body for the cultivation of good works, it is seen as a source of temporal enjoyment. Sex is removed from its life-giving mystery and used for recreation. Religion itself becomes a way to relieve guilt and bolster the ego, rather than to connect with the Source. Motives are confused and fragmented and the sinner is lost in a fog of psychological reasoning. Justifying himself by avoiding “technical sins”, he drifts farther and farther from Divine purpose. God-given rational power can paralyze authentic regeneration.

The point of reference for sin migrates from the East to the West. The legalistic view of sin, originating from the theology of the West, accurately reveals a much deeper problem in the East. Sin reveals a transgression against God’s Life-giving Energies, alienating the sinner from the Invisible Source. While the dogma of sin in the West compares God to a High Court Judge, the hamartiology of the East judges men against God’s Life-giving qualities.

The theology of the West is characterized by the elevation of the intellect, or the rational mind, evidenced by the academic approach in its seminaries. A “theological school”, by definition, applies a scholastic approach to learning, employing aristotelian logic and reason to arrive at systematic conclusions. Although the information age has distributed many theological writings, reading about first-hand experiences of The Holy does not qualify a true theologian. Rather than a sharp rational capacity, a true theologian requires a pure noetic facility.

The “nous”, or center of man, is sometimes described as the “heart”, the facility of man which “grows cold” (Matthew 12:24) due to wickedness. Sins, vices and passions affect this spiritual “eye”, the purity of which fills the body with light as with a lamp (Matthew 6:22). It is those who are pure in heart that are blessed, for they shall “see” God (Matthew 5). It is this “seeing” the Invisible God, a Firelight that burns but does not consume (Genesis 3:2), that a true theologian is produced. The purifying effect of this “fire” on the nous is the catalyst for True Theology. By the Light of God, we see light (Psalm 36:9).

Catharsis (Katharsis) is the greek word describing this purification of the soul. For the righteous, the Fire of God does not consume, but purifies the spiritual sight to see more clearly. Sanctification is the state of illumination, where the sinner becomes aware of God, becoming more mindful where he steps (Ps 119:105). It is the beauty of the Divine Light that draws the righteous and consumes wickedness. “For our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29). It is this personal holiness that translates the Nature of God to one’s fellow man.

The Light of God represents and is Divine Wisdom, or hidden Knowledge of God. Thus this invisible Divine Light, or Glory, is indeed True Theology. It is the true theologian who is filled with this Divine Light (Exodus 43:35), pouring forth in word and action, revealing The Holy. We read about this spiritual phenomenon in textbook cases in the bible. Rather than reading about theologians, the true theologian is he who experiences the Divine Light of God, evidenced by his own outward disposition of character.

A “prefiguration” foreshadows a coming event or reality in time. In the case of Orthodox Christianity, its theology and practice is prefigured in the Old Testament scriptures by use of imagery and typology. The law and the prophets, the temple worship of the Israelites, the festal calendar and lectionary (scheduled readings), are a prefiguration of Orthodox Christianity, the complete dispensation of the Character and Nature of God. For Orthodox Christianity, all the wisdom of the law and the prophets are alluding to the person of Jesus Christ. As the Old Testament foreshadows Christ, its theology can be summated by the Cross.

The Tradition of making the Sign of the Cross is rooted in the people and events of the Old Testament. The Prophets are considered “orthodox” by Christians; their revelation of God is considered the “right glory”. Their mysterious acts revealed true theology because they pointed to the True Theologian, the God-Man who discloses all mysteries. The Cross is displayed in hindsight to the Christian, coded throughout the Old Testament scriptures along with hundreds of other references to Christ’s life.

Moses’ righteous acts may not be immediately recognized as the work of the Logos. Parting the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21) and securing victory over the Amalekites (Exodus 17:11) Moses made himself an icon using his body and staff. Stretching out his hand, Moses parted the waters by He who commands the storm. The spiritual victory by way of the Cross over the forces of evil is also foretold in the battle with the Amalekites. The sign of the Cross is the sign of Christus Victor.

The crossing of Jacob’s hands when blessing his younger son (Genesis 49), speaks of the blessing that the younger religion would be to the world. Though the “older brother” has precedence, the younger would rise up to bless the world with the true “Anointed One”. Contrary to the established birthright, the lineage of the younger would go on to establish an Eternal Kingdom.

The mysterious act surrounding the floating axe head in 2 Kings chapter 6 warrants a much deeper search in meaning. The prophet Elisha takes a stick and tosses it in the Jordan at the location where the axe head fell in the river. With much allusion, the Word of God, the Logos, turns the established order upside down and the work of “letting every man take a beam from there, to make a dwelling place” continues by way of a miracle.

The icon of the Cross alludes to the Incarnate Logos. It is this manifesting, or being made present, that the miracles of the Old Testament were wrought. The acts of the Old Testament are accomplished by the Word of God. It is by His Icon that the revelation of God is manifest. Though the original manifestation was yet to occur by way of the Incarnation, the taking up of human flesh, True Theology was revealed by the Sign of the Cross. As the Power of God is fully revealed at the Cross, so it is the aftershocks of this event that are felt in the times of the Prophets.

In spiritual perfection, the Christ reveals the nature of Salvation, making manifest the healing described by the Old Testament Prophets. Taking earth from the ground He makes a salve, or paste, in which He contributes His own saliva. Being Himself God, this act serves to illustrate the Divine Nature. Healing is within Him, He offers it to creation, and He is Himself Healing. The Logos taking “earth” from the virgin and uniting it with the Divine is in fact the “Balm of Gilead”, or “the Christ”, “the Chrism” or “An Anointing”.

Having the blind man wash in the Pool of Siloam (meaning “Sent”) anticipated the Pharisees farsightedness on the origin of Divine Healing. “We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.” Here a man was rendered whole, and the Pharisees could not identify the Source of the activity. The man born blind answered with an appropriately Christian response. “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes!”

Christ’s judgement in verse 41 relates to the spiritual blindness towards this Reality. The Author of Life possesses Healing in His Nature. Those who cannot see this Reality, or those for whom this Reality is clouded, face a type of spiritual blindness. They cannot see the Logos of God in creation, they cannot see the Source of Divine Generosity. These are the ones who will become blind when all creation is “filled with the Knowledge of God”. (Habakkuk 2:14)

In John chapter 9 we experience the fulfillment of the Old Testament scriptures by the Logos making manifest the Divine Nature. As Christ incarnated God, even His Divine Chastisements were infused with Divine Compassion, an overflow of His Nature into all creation. Both the gentleness and the harsh word mimic the effects of salve on a fresh wound. We may feel the sting of hydrogen peroxide, but if we trust the Physician, we make a speedy recovery when He gently removes the dressing.

Salve, or balm, is an ointment promoting healing when applied to the body. Its effects include the generation of healthy cells, such that without the assistance of the ointment, the body could not escape the cycle of death. Salve has the effect of infusing life by healing the functionality of cells. These cells allow sensory apparati to work effectively, connecting the organism to its world, thereby sustaining it.

Salve, or balm, provides a clear illustration for the Prophet (Jeremiah 8:22). The spiritual state of mankind is such that it cannot perceive the Source of All Life, causing a degeneration of spiritual health. Mankind is disconnected from the Unoriginate One, and as a result she fumbles about with her disordered carnal senses.

Mankind’s spiritual sensory apparati has been badly damaged by sins and passions (Psalm 135:17,18) (Psalm 115:5) (Psalm 36:2) (Isaiah 42:18) (Matthew 13:13). Her spiritual “eye” has been darkened (Matthew 6:23). The Logos of God, functioning as Priest, King, Teacher and Prophet in His Incarnation, fully enlightens and reveals this sobering spiritual reality with His teachings and miracles. All who meditate on His words and worship Him as the God-Man receive from Him the Cure, which He also incarnates for us. Christ Himself is the Salve of our Salvation (Isaiah 12:2) (Psalm 118:14). The Word of God is the Medicine of Immortality.

In the gospel of John chapter 9, Christ heals the man born blind. Being the Incarnation of Divine Generosity, His healing acts reveal the nature of Salvation, which springs from God Himself. Christ teaches that “This man was born blind that the works of God might be displayed in Him”. Prophetically and with Divine Compassion, Christ heals the man’s sight. The eternal significance of this act was further clarified in a conversation with the Pharisees in verse 40. For those who can see their blindness, they become enlightened, those who claim they can see, their guilt remains.

Authentic Christianity is the consummation of all Divine Knowledge, the complete and perfect Revelation of God to Mankind. Orthodoxy, inclusive of its correct practice, is not lacking in power to effectively transform mankind’s spiritual understanding, profoundly awakening the soul to God. The Essence of God, A Beauty incomprehensible by the intellect, is alluded to in the created world (Acts 17:25). The Creative Word of God sustains all existence in an overflow of Divine Generosity. The purified man can see God’s providence in everything; he perceives the Source of All Things Life-Giving and Good.

As the Christian’s vision of God has matured to perceive this Reality, he accepts chastisement as a ray of Divine Compassion, whereas the wicked man is hardened towards this Salvific Energy. The “crushing” (Ps 34:18) of one’s spirit is nothing more than the work of the Potter’s Hands (Jeremiah 18:6). It brings a man to repentance, repentance itself being a synergy of the Life-Giving Spirit. It is in this manner God renews the face of the earth (Ps 104:30).

Godly sorrow, though unpopular, is nonetheless the harmonization of Spirits, a coming into agreement about the breadth of the soul’s path. Of course it is the human spirit which does the moving; God’s Spirit remains Unchanged and Immovable according to His Nature. The flow of this motion is Godward, resulting in spiritual healing and regeneration. We witness the manifestation of His Nature in the scientific world; as our bodies heal, so our souls can also regenerate with God’s Power.

The Source of All Things Life-Giving and Good is Our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ. Being a Person of the Holy Trinity, the Logos is Undivided from the Trinity by Nature. His Incarnation fully expresses and reveals the Nature of the Trinity (Colossians 2:9). Christ’s chastisements effectively guided many from destruction, but not all (Matthew 12:34). Many did not recognise Him. Rather than bread being the source for man’s nourishment, it is Christ Himself that is the “Word of God” that every man is actually sustained by (Deuteronomy 8:3).

The bittersweet “Balm of Gilead” (Jeremiah 8:22) is in fact the Lord Jesus Christ, who heals all of humanity at the “Right Hand of God” (Psalm 16:11). The “Spring of Living Water” that He offers is the All-Good and Life-Creating Spirit, which affects the soul of man by washing and satisfying an eternal thirst. This eternal thirst is mankind’s God-shaped void, exacerbated by his delusional and confused attempts to fill it with an alternate source.
